This free course is intended to provide a family with basic information about the two strategies necessary to protect your family.  In this tiny course you will learn: What are the potential risks or threats of losing your home, your possessions, your personal identities, your identification papers or documents, and worst of all, a family member! What are the two (and only two) preparedness strategies a family needs to implement to protect themselves from over 50 potential disasters! What resources does a family need to have in place to protect themselves?  Half of them are already in your home! How can your family build or even purchase the resources to implement these two preparedness strategies? Where can if find these preparedness resources if I don't currently have them in our possession?

The essential Shelter in Place Tiny Course is one of two primary safety strategies that a family should implement to cover most disasters. Most of the items recommended to shelter in place are most likely already in your home or domicile, so it is easy to implement this strategy. Just follow our recommendations!

The essential Evacuation Plan Tiny Course supplements the other essential strategy described in the Shelter in Place Tiny Course. This course describes why you might need to evacuate, how to plan the evacuation, where to go (with options) and how to test your evacuation plan.

The Basic Communication Plan Tiny Course provides recommendations for a family to communicate during a disaster, particularly when family members may not be in the same location at the same time.

The Asset Protection Plan Tiny Course provides a family with recommendations on how to protect their assets - identity assets, ownership assets, membership assets and the services a family uses to maintain their lifestyle. Learn how to document these assets and where to go and who to contact for professional advice on protecting and safeguarding these assets.

This supplementary tiny course is an excellent addition to your two primary preparedness strategies. The course describes how to setup resources in your vehicle in case you and/or your family has to shelter in place in your vehicle for a limited amount of time, or evacuate your home with your 'go bag' PLUS additional resources in your emergency car kit.
